As men, we are…
Both/And.
As men we are strong, powerful, and have the capacity for a great many things. We can lift heavy weights, climb high mountains, make a financial killing, raise happy, healthy kids, and serve our community deeply. And if not there yet, we can certainly build the capacity to achieve, overcome, and rise.
We are not strong because of our greatness though. Oftentimes we are strong because we’re weak. It’s in the moments we can face defeat and embrace our grief wholeheartedly that we begin to realize our greatest potential.
As we develop the capacity to hold our full experience with authentic presence, we become a worthy container for those we serve, those who suffer, and, if in relationship, for our emotion woman when she’s in her feminine.
It is when we can live completely with victory and joy as much as with anger, sadness, and shame that we can give our gift to the world unflinchingly.
Brothers, be your best today in all of your affairs. We’re not guaranteed tomorrow.
And if you’re living at your highest, how can you stretch that capacity?
